Photos from I’m Here and I’m Not
(to be published 2021)
I’m Here
and I’m Not is an essay collection which traverses
various themes, ranging from reflections surrounding Islamic theology,
practice, and maintenance of faith in a foreign country, to issues of
colonization, American global influence, racial relations in Cambodia, serendipity
and divine intervention, and commentaries on art and photography. The photos I made and curated for the collection encompass the idea of being in multiple
places at once – a feeling of simultaneous disconnection and presence that
lives in juxtaposition.
